Founded in 1989, Best Buddies International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, inclusive living, and family support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
A Personal Connection
Every Child Belongs author Margaret Hughes and her son, Brad, joined Best Buddies in Colorado in 2024. Since then, Brad has proudly graduated from the Best Buddies Ambassador Academy, and Margaret now serves as Advisory Board Chair for Best Buddies in Colorado.
The Heart of Inclusion Gala
On November 7, 2026, Best Buddies Colorado will host its annual Champion of the Year Gala in Denver. This special evening celebrates community leaders who are making a difference while raising awareness and funds to support friendship, inclusion, and opportunity.
